After spending nearly a decade of her professional career in front of the camera as a television news reporter, Kristin Smith went on seeking to help others.  First, at the national nonprofit The Humane Society of the United States, and now with the mission-based beauty company, Beautycounter – working to get safe products into the hands of everyone.

As a mom of three (all still in diapers), Kristin is so aware of the safety of the products she uses on her skin and that of her family.  And after finding out there are barely any laws regulating the multi-billion dollar beauty industry in the United States, she knew she had to take action.
